Bullying Statistics

Statistics conducted in 2014 put the topic of bullying into perspective. In a recent survey, 10,000 children were interviewed. Once again, cyber-bullying is the big concern. 7 in 10 young people are victims of cyber-bullying. It is more likely to be harassed on Facebook than any other social media website. 37% of people experience extreme cyber-bullying on a daily basis.

On the bright side, some positive statistics have been uncovered lately. More children are showing an understanding of what bullying is, and how to prevent it. Less children are expressing feelings of low self esteem and a large percentage have the desire to remain survivors against bullies. 67% of children are confiding in their parents about this issue. Hopefully, more positive will be brought up through the years. This may lead to less acts of bullying.
